Plant Witch Shadow Box

I got some dollhouse furniture from an antique shop years ago and finally decided to use one for a shadow box.

I painted it pink and made some drawer pulls out of wire. It's decorated with some tiny snail shells, moss, fake plants, broken pieces of crystals, miniature books, a tiny candle, cute black feather, and some little bottles made out of beads.

I also made a tiny basket out of pink twine and used some brown yarn and a bamboo skewer for the broom.

The little tea set, faux plants, moss, and mushrooms are all from Michaels.

I made this butterfly frame using the DIY Miniature Framed Butterflies tutorial from Miniature World DIY.

Butterick B5935 Stay Progress

After seeing so many stays on Instagram lately, I wanted to try to make my own. I got the pattern Butterick B5935 and chose style A. I didn't want to have to buy new fabric for this so I picked a floral fabric I got from a bundle at Goodwill months before.

I cut out all the pieces, even added interfacing (I never do that), and stitched all the pieces together. The next thing to do is add the boning. I just dread making the casing. I also don't like doing grommets but eh, that's a problem for future me.

So I have no idea when I'll finish this.

Fairy Small Things

Fairy Small Things is my favorite shop for mushrooms & accessories for my fairy gardens. They're super cute, completely handmade, and can be made in just about any color.

Purple Fairy Birdhouse

I got the Brownstone Birdhouse from Michaels and decided to turn it into a fairy house after the kids were done playing with it.

I repainted it purple & white and sanded it in some areas so it'd look less clean. I hot glued it onto an oval plaque (probably this one) and then smothered it all with moss.

The moss, faux flowers, mushrooms, stone, popsicle sticks, and miniature birds are also from Michaels.

I got the purple lanterns from Fairy Small Things

And the succulent pots? They're actually push pins from Target.

I made some accessories for the yard using mostly stuff from nature.

I made the birdhouse by drilling into a walnut, gluing an acorn cap on top, and gluing twigs. Then I glued stones onto some cardboard and stuck the stick in the middle, covering it with moss and faux flowers.

For the wheelbarrow, I used some cardboard as a base and glued twigs horizontally on some sides and then pieces of bark on the others. I glued some dried seed pods for the wheels. For the handle, I just glued a twig in place and covered it with moss. Inside, there's a little basket made of twine.

The mailbox was a bit more fiddly. I used a small piece of toilet paper roll for the curve and glued tiny pieces of bark around it. The bottom piece is cardboard with bark attached underneath and the lid is bark cut to shape. I even glued a piece of twine on the lid and on the inside of the mailbox so it could actually be closed. And of course, I put tons of moss inside and out to cover the empty parts. I also made a miniature letter and envelope but that quickly disappeared in the wind.

And I made a shelf on the side of the house but I forgot to get a photo of it. But it was basically constructed like the other stuff, lots of cardboard and bark.

I'm going to leave this out on the porch so I wonder how well it'll hold up.

Punky Colour Hair Dye

My favorite hair dye is Punky Colour, specifically a mix of Plum and Flamingo Pink. For this... Vermillion Red, Flamingo Pink, Lagoon Blue, and Purple were used. I normally don't use reds as it's not my favorite but I was trying to use up a few different colors I had around.

Eyeshadow Palette: BH Cosmetics Sweet Shoppe Cotton Candy
Lashes: Jimire - 120 Natural Wispy

About a month or so after I posted this photo to Instagram, Punky Colour asked to use it for a promotional banner. I ok'd it and then forgot about it when I never saw it. But then months later, I went to look at Ulta's site to order more and saw my face!

I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't include my @ like that had with others.
